A quiet view of the White Lion


The White Lion first featured here in May 2006 when I showed you the owls on the roof.

In September 2007 you saw it with a lovely flower tub in front of it.

I've also shown you what it looked like about 100 years ago on Old Hyde.

Today's picture was taken at the same time as my photograph of the last days of Woolworths.

What a difference seasons make to photos. The very first photo taken of this pub doesn't even look like the pub of today! Great pictures.

Ah, the cursed Robinson's! Not a popular name in these parts (since they took over and closed down the excellent Hartleys of Ulverston)
