Canal Bends
This is where The Peak Forest Canal bends round just to the North of Hyde.
Ahead is the end of Canal Street and the Railway Bridge from where I took an earlier picture looking back towards here.
In the far distance you might make out the war memorial on Werneth Low.
On the right hand side is the back of Automasters.

There are no cigarette ends on this site thats for sure:):)
I think Rivers make an ideal place to shoot a photo, for their bends and turns.
You chose a good time of day t shoot this, very melancholy and beautiful.
This really is a great picture Gerald, I like how the light as caught the fence.. the sky looks just right for Hyde at this time of year... and the big sign sticking up is as you say Automasters.
Great capture for sure.
The countryside is alway very peaceful. Your photo really shows that.
I like this photo. Looks like a nice place to have some quiet time.

Canals have always had an enchanted feeling for me....you captured this one very well!
The light is really good in this shot, Gerald. Lots of highlights - & the low angle gives it a nice 3D effect.
