The Tree and The Church

Two weeks ago I told you about the Hattersley Monkey Puzzle Tree.

From across Stockport Road, only the telephone wires spoil the view and now the houses on Garnett Road are not there, you can see beyond to St Michael's and All Angels church in Mottram.

Dennis thinks this is a very interesting tree and why can't he have one.

I've never heard of a Monkey Puzzle Tree .... it's beautiful, and I'm glad to read that it's life will be spared. It would be a shame to cut it down.

The tree has a beautiful, verdant symmetry. It reminds me of graphic representations of the cedars of Lebanon. Curse the phone wires - the bane of photographers.

This tree would be gorgeous decorated at Christmas although it is beautiful just as it is.

It's a wonderful-looking tree, and a lovely view. I can live with these telephone wires — they're nothing compared to the cables of Metro Manila.

looks so grand and tall, despite the grey surroundings - would look great at christmas with lighjts twinkling all over it

It is a majestic tree and I will look beyond the wires.
