Sky over the Jolly Carter

A memory from a few Saturdays ago.

We were sitting down on a bench opposite the Jolly Carter, waiting for the Ring 'n' Ride bus. The autumn leaves had not yet started to fall, and while we waited we watched the sky.

Visit other watchers at Skywatch Friday.

Being near Manchester you have a large airport nearby, but these seems to come from further away. Well caught.

I keep looking up wanting to see a Saltire in vapour trails. Hasn't happened yet!

You could have counted vapour trails like sheep, fallen asleep and missed the bus. Watching the sky can be a dangerous practice.

I could use a pint right about now.

You must be near an airport. Those look like jet engine contrails, and they make for a very interesting SkyWatch photo.

First time I have heard about Ring and Ride. I used the Park and Ride in Oxford some time ago and that is something I recommend for all cities.

Wow! Are they what i think they are jet trail clouds? Lots of jet passing by overt here! Lovely shot! Mine is about HongKong skies, I hope you visit mine :)

Intriguing. Are those clouds or trails? They seem to be criss-crossing each other.

Wow! You have so many wonderful photos here it's going to take me one heckuva long time to peruse them all.

I notice that you and many othe bloggers "sign" your snapshots. Do you reccomend that for everyone?

That's interesting if your leaves are just starting and much of the maples in my neighborhood have glorious colors already and this is Califonia????What's going on.

Love your blue skies.

So glad you had time to just sit for a moment and enjoy the sky. We should all be so lucky. My moment was to watch the evening sky.
