Sky over the Jolly Carter
A memory from a few Saturdays ago.
We were sitting down on a bench opposite the Jolly Carter, waiting for the Ring 'n' Ride bus. The autumn leaves had not yet started to fall, and while we waited we watched the sky.

Great shot for SWF. Thank you for joining this week :-)
A beautiful sky! Happy skywatch :)
Being near Manchester you have a large airport nearby, but these seems to come from further away. Well caught.
Such beautiful sky! Relaxing too:) My SWF is posted HERE. Have a great day!~
Very wispy clouds, my friend, great post Gerald.
Neat shots of a busy sky.
Looks like someone is painting clouds with a very fine brush.
Happy Sky Watch!
Wonderful shot!
I keep looking up wanting to see a Saltire in vapour trails. Hasn't happened yet!
Great shot - I'd like to check out that Jolly Carter, though. ;)
It's a wonderful shot and appropriate for Sky watch...
Have a really nice weekend!

Mountain Retreat
Beautiful picture!
Great photo, looks like skytrails.

You could have counted vapour trails like sheep, fallen asleep and missed the bus. Watching the sky can be a dangerous practice.
wow, are they all contrails? cool shot! happy skywatch friday. :)
I could use a pint right about now.
You must be near an airport. Those look like jet engine contrails, and they make for a very interesting SkyWatch photo.
Very pretty trails
Looks like a busy sky! Very interesting photo!
Very lively traffic on you sky! But you got a fine picture about it :)
Pleasant Friday to you!
Nice photo .
Thanks for dropping by my skywatch pic.
Wow - looks like someone with a white pencil has been scribbling on your beautiful blue sky there!!!
First time I have heard about Ring and Ride. I used the Park and Ride in Oxford some time ago and that is something I recommend for all cities.
A great way to spend some time while waiting.
Looking at the sky.
Nice capture and moment.
It's a wonderful sky, Gelard! I like how the clouds make the lines ... Wonderful.
Thanks for stopping by me post too.
Wow! Are they what i think they are jet trail clouds? Lots of jet passing by overt here! Lovely shot! Mine is about HongKong skies, I hope you visit mine :)
Intriguing. Are those clouds or trails? They seem to be criss-crossing each other.
Wow! You have so many wonderful photos here it's going to take me one heckuva long time to peruse them all.
I notice that you and many othe bloggers "sign" your snapshots. Do you reccomend that for everyone?
Nice chemtrails
That's interesting if your leaves are just starting and much of the maples in my neighborhood have glorious colors already and this is Califonia????What's going on.
Love your blue skies.
Oil price falls must be passed on to customers, says Gordon Brown (see the Morrisons picture)
What's up with Martin's server?
So glad you had time to just sit for a moment and enjoy the sky. We should all be so lucky. My moment was to watch the evening sky.
Great shot and nice composition!
Very nice sky.
Certainly a nice way to spend the time while waiting. :)
How very interesting. Modern-day smoke (sky) signals? Great post.
