Ring and Ride
It was April 2006 when I last showed a picture of the Ring and Ride service. This time I'm posting a photo taken from inside the bus.
The Ring and Ride service operates across Greater Manchester. Journeys though are generally limited to one's local area (Tameside South in our case), and can only be booked the day before. To book our regular Saturday visit into town, I have to phone after 9.30am on Friday. Sometimes it takes me 45 minutes to get through.
Though an excellent service, it doesn't make planning trips easy as (except for special excursions) you can't be sure until the morning before whether your journey can be accomodated, nor the exact pick-up and return times.
For 2008 it is planned to make cross-boundary journeys available, so maybe from time to time we can have a shopping trip to Stockport for a change.

I think its a great service for those who are on wheel chairs. 3 thumbs up!
yes, a very good idea. nice snap.
It sounds like a neat service, though it seems to have its bumps and warts, like most things do.
Thanks,
Wayne

Another photo full of character! (and I'd never have guessed squirrel's tail for your puzzle - how did you manage to get so close for long enough, those critters can really move!).
