Theatre Royal Open Days 2007
I took this photograph of Corporation Street yesterday morning.
On the left is the side and rear of the Town Hall. I don't know why the flag isn't flying as it flys most days.
On the right is the Theatre Royal.
There is a new website now for Hyde Theatre Royal Onward, the company set up to save this historic theatre for the town.
The theatre will be open as part of Heritage Open Days on the 7th & 8th September 2007.
Photographs from the 2006 Open Day can be found at http://www.geraldengland.co.uk/gx/royal.htm

I like the detail on the street lights.
All that red brick...very warm and appealing.
Thanks for visiting my blog. What lovely buildings in your photo...are they Victorian?
Many memories of mine are tied up in this picture Gerald, the Picture house, the town hall... and even the police station have all been a part of my life at times. I will be at the opening day with my camera at the ready.
Mmm. Hyde. There's a very good running shoe shop in Hyde that used to be owned by Ron Hill! I always go their for my running shoes!
love
lorenzo.
lv2scpbk yes I wanted to highlight them, which is why I did a side view - those are actually the theatre lights - I kept the regular street light out of view.
cabacurl yes Victorian
lorensothellama the shop isn't owned by Ron anymore - see my earlier post http://hydedailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/07/up-and-running.html
Yes. I knew Ron didn't own the shop now. I believe his son is the manager, or was.
Sometimes I used to see Ron running over Werneth Low!

All that red brick is lovely!
