Cheshire Cheese (3)
I've already shown you the Cheshire Cheese in Gee Cross and the one on Market Street.
Here is the third Cheshire Cheese on the corner of Bennett Street and Ashton Road, Newton.

And?
Why is this building standing there? Has it something to do with cheese?
:) nice photo anyway, makes me wanna know 'what about this building only"
:) JoAnn
Not far from me at all this on., I very rarely visit but as a good crowd in there. Plenty of regulars, some a bit rough around the gills but all in all a friendly pub which looks after its customers well.
I wish I'd known you was posting this today Gerald, there is a nice bit of history about the cross roads it's on. A murderer was buried at the cross road and there's a cracking story connected to it. I must dig my books out now.
I too thought the buildings were about cheese until reading a bit more of your story as well as some of the readers' comments. Great series of photos.
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
I'm enjoying this pub crawl!
