I earlier posted a photo of
Ashton Bros Mill by guest photographer Frank Bennett.
This is also by Frank and shows the mill actually in the process of being demolished.
It was probably taken from more or less the same vantage position as my recent photo of the
Funfair leaving town.

What a great picture, and it ties in very nicely with my post today about Pole Bank Hall and the family home of the 'Ashton Brothers'
Gereld I read somewhere today that you have given up driving, if there is something local you want to take a picture of, and you don't mind being bumped about in an old land rover then get in touch.
What a dark colour of buildings this are.... seems like Holland, however I like the style of this one very much.

What will they put there, in its place?
