Subway
The sandwich chain "Subway" opened their Hyde branch on Friday 13th.
We paid it a visit the other Saturday. It has a couple of tables for eating in and is wheelchair accessible. The food was delicious although not exactly inexpensive.
Whilst certainly a lot healthier than somewhere like McDonalds, we are probably more likely to take our custom to Sizzlers, the Baked Potato Man or Bosuns, but we certainly won't rule out a return visit.

People in the photo look pleased so they must enjoy the place and the food.
Welcome to the Global Economy...
We have Subway over here, there is even a Subway in Oliver but no McDonalds yet.
They are good sandwiches, we can select what fillings go in, but dont care for the coffee they serve, so we go to Tim Hortons, a big sandwich, doughnut and coffee chain in Canada, good coffee.
Hi
as you may notice, from my last comment, I have a new blog, still working on refining it before announceing to the world
Subway have at least 4 outlets in Nottingham's city centre. I've also been to one of their branches in Dubai, Bangkok and Sydney. The strange thing is, that the food tastes exactly the same, no matter which one you visit.
I first encountered Subway in the States and got so excited when I discovered it in Edinburgh. Now where I work in Glasgow, there's one just a few doors down. Like you said, it's not inexpensive, but it's goooood!

Any additional alternative is always good :)
Thank you for visiting my blog and leading to Kiev DP site.
It's everywhere isn't it.
I just hope it doesn't mean an end to those butty shops on the corner where they 'know what you like' and will leave out the onions.
They look happy to be working.
Subway is very popular here. We have two of them in our rinky-dinky town. And we like their Italian sub the best. Delicious. There was a fat young man who ate Subway sandwiches and lost a lot of weight. He is a spokesman for their television commercials here in the US. I am happy you enjoy something good to eat from our country.
I got to fly last night. I mean I just dove in and flew. You can find out how on my blog post today.
Yes, you are right -eating at Subway is healthier than at most other fast food places (as Abe mentioned, you can even lose weight!).
Please visit me today - I'm turning tables on you ;-)
I wish we had Subway here in Oslo, but I have never seen any.
Both the people working there and the customers seem very happy. That's a good advertisement. :)
The folks who work there are officially called "Sandwich Artists"...
I'm not so sure about the weight-loss thing, Abe. It depends how much you eat.
Maybe a calories/currency unit would be an interesting comparison
I find if I eat less of anything I can hold my weight.
just keep on going, even i look at photography in some other way then this what you show here i can respect it. cheers
Thank you for visiting my blog. I love Subway Sandwiches. They are very tasty.
