Shadows over a bridge

Last week I showed you a bridge over Gower Hey Brook and the steps that lead to King George Road.

I went back there last week, crossed the bridge, climbed a few steps and took this looking down on the bridge with the sun casting the shadows of trees across it.

For the original wider and coloured version see Geograph.

For more shadows visit Hey Harriet.

For more bridges visit San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.

I like seeing the color version too, and I'm not sure which I prefer. It's interesting to see the black and white conversion and I like it very much. the shadows are beautiful. happy SSS, and I hope your weekend is grand.

No side rails, so one must be surefooted to cross this bridge!

SHADOW SINGER

Of shadows an old man did sing;
He chanted in Guelph and Beijing;
The shade was his friend,
He loved it no end—
It made him feel rich as a king!

Beautiful Shadow Shot. I like both versions of the picture. The colored one shows the green moss on the tree, but the black and white version gives the shadows a soft touch. Thanks for sharing!!

Excellent, Gerald - this subject works very well in monochrome.
