The George & Its Clock Gone
When I showed you The George in May it still looked like a pub but now the old signage and clock have been removed.
The tree on the Woodend Lane side has also disappeared.

Maybe the tree was causing structural problems. Can't see why they took the clock down though - I bet it made a nice feature for anyone walking up Gt Norbury St.
I wonder what it will become?
What a bummer! I like the British/English pubs very much. They're very lovely establishments. I'm excited about the successor too. Gerald, please just hang in there.
I hope they can open a new business there.The building is beautiful, I'm always enchanted by these bricks!
