Drystone Waller at Dunkirk Farm

As I was walking from Dunkirk Bridge down to Dunkirk Farm a few weeks ago, I came across this busy chap who was repairing the dry stone wall.

I had a nice chat with him before proceeding on my way.

An art in itself! glad someone is skilled at doing it. Did Sir Winston build brick or stone walls as a hobby? I believe they were brick.

That's so nice! I'd love to see such a wall being built!

I love to watch drystone wallers at work. Such a talent and such hard work too. It's fascinating how they know which stone or rock to pick up to fit into a specific place.

Not many people left that do this. Looks like he was doing a good job.

One has to be grateful to men like him, as it helps the stones to continue to dream their dream of a garden.

A wonderful Sunday for you.
