One more photograph from my walk along the Peak Forest Canal some weeks ago.
After I'd rounded the
canal bends I discovered the gate to the old Automaster's site was ajar, affording a view across to the
preserved Manchester Road warehouse.
Unlike Automasters these 1828 built buildings are
Grade II listed.
Visit
Old Hyde for a look inside the factory in 2005 when it was still operational.

Interesting. They look more like apartment blocks than warehouses...what will be done with them?
as Jacob said my first impression was a building site
I think it's amazing - the transformation of one thing to another! Been having fun looking through all of your photos - went to the UK many many years ago...still a fond place & love to come back for a visit again someday!
