Over the next four days we are looking at the Croft Millennium Green.
Whilst some terraced properties on
Croft Street have been modernised, the row between Henry Street and
Great Norbury Street was demolished together with those on Albion Street which no longer exists.
The Croft Millennium Green was created in that open space. I first showed you the area in a post on
August 5th 2008.

Of course, if you put a sign up, someone will come along and write graffiti on it!
C`est impressionannt!
A multifaith millennium ?
I'll have to think about that for a minute.
Ok, I've thought about it, other faiths have their own calendars.
So it's 2000 years since what exactly? Just a number on a western calendar.
Lots of communities around here installed Millennium benches. I guess they now need greens to put them on!
A nice idea - You have really done the Millennium proud in the UK with all the different Millennium issues.
I don't think we have even one over here.
