Hyde Chapel in Hiding
Hyde Chapel features regularly on this blog, especially its spire which is visible from miles around, but a close-up picture is almost impossible.
This photograph from last summer was taken across the road from Knott Lane. The chapel is well hidden behind the trees.
So what if we go right round the other side to the corner of School Road and King Edward Avenue? I did that some weeks ago but the bright winter sun was shining right over the top of the church and I couldn't shoot straight into it.
Turning away from the direct sunlight, what I did manage was a photograph across the top of the burial ground to Enfield Street and the former school that is now a nursing home.

Despite your obstacles, this is quite picturesque.
I love the composition of the second photo. it is very impressive.
Hello Gerald
That's my old school on view in the second shot.... thanks for the memories which are now flowing.
Tom
Well obviously I am drawn to the second shot being a boring photographer. School to a nursing home. Fitting somehow.
