1823 Cottages
Walk up Stockport Road past the Werneth Hotel at the bottom of Treacle Brow and before you reach the junction where the old signpost is, you'll find this set of stone steps leading up to Mottram Old Road.
The cottages on Mottram Old Road date from 1823.

Lovely picture, I love stone pathways, they have character, we dont have much of these in Pakistan, its always nice to see a great picture.
Interesting. And, they look very old.

I think the oldest house here or near here probably dates from the late 1890's...like 1899....

Lovely place.
I would like to take a walk on the pathway.

I'd love to know a little of the history of the people who lived in these cottages.
