Pole Bank Pond

Pole Bank Hall, once the home of the Ashton family, is now a private nursing home. The grounds however are a public park.

One of its best attractions is this pool.

There is another photograph of The Pond at Pole Bank on Sithenah and a vintage picture of Pole Bank Hall on Old Hyde. Additional photographs and further information are to be found on my Pole Bank Perambulation at Ackworth born, gone West.

To visit more ABC-Wednesday posts go to Mrs. Nesbitt's Place.

Peaceful, lovely--I hope that some of the people who live at the nursing home are well enough to walk beside it and that others are able to see it from the windows.

Bonjour, Gerald. A bit of recycling, as it were, in your photo, too!

Nice to retain a park for the public to enjoy. Willows so nice yet they have to be eradicated at times around our rivers. I missed all the recemt number crunching - you always think up some ideas to keep us busy!

That's a gorgeous picture - I particularly like the weeping willows framing the right hand side.

This place still looks peaceful when compared to the old Ashton house except for more trees.
