Theatre Royal: Frieze detail (1)
I recently featured the frieze from the top of the Theatre Royal Onward.
This is the first of two photographs showing part of the frieze in more detail. Do click on the picture above to see it at its best.
I'll show you another detail at a later date.

A lot of work has gone into this.
Great capture Gerald.
Great picture! That is really detailed!
I really like this, but it is sort of freaking me out! It’s like the torment of hell or something.
Something artistic and get one to imagine what it really was. :)
Fearsomely well developed nose and teeth there! Very eye-catching.
I remember this post from a week or so ago. There is so much detail, you might continue looking for a long time, and still find something new to see.
Really interesting frieze. There are some amazing pieces in London.
Sorry about the weird message I had 2 comments pages open and I must have got the comments mixed up!!!
PS Love the frieze - grabs your attention
Hi Gerald,
This is a nice piece of art! I believe it’s a dragon. The warm pink color of the stone is also lovely. It makes this interesting frieze less dramatic.
Have a very good day!
That's scary Gerald.
I guess it's a dragon, but its expression reminds me of a cartoon shark!
Great detailed shot. It's good to be able to see it close up.
Beautiful photo, but I think this particular is a little anxious.
