Onward has been the motto of Hyde Corporation since its incorporation as a municipal borough of Cheshire in 1881.
The coat of arms can be seen not only on the Town Hall but is also emblazoned in a frieze on the top of the Theatre Royal Onward.
The rear of the theatre is on Onward Street.

hello from Hania. Very old-looking buildings, certainly do look like they need a sprucing up!
Oranges and olives don't actually crop twice a year - only once. you might be referring to some other varieties, but the VALENCIA oranges crop in May-June, while OLIVES crop once, and the fruit is picked throughout the winter.
This is a lovely building and super detail you showed us. I hope it gets restored.
