Numbers of Numbers
With the numbers of blogs that sign up for the CDPB theme every month mushrooming, I was in more than a single mind whether to participate or not.
When I looked through some of the photographs published here over the last couple of years I was quite taken aback by the sheer number of numbers I'd use.
So what does all this add up to? There's a book prize waiting for the person who comes up with the nearest accurate answer. I might even give away a few runner-up prizes. No clues given and no questions answered along the way. I'll reveal all on Saturday.
Over 180 blogs are taking part in the theme this month. To view thumbnails for all participants visit the CDPB portal

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU ARE THE ABSOLUT WINNER OF TODAY'S QUIZ!!!!!
I had hoped to post a collage of "fancy" house numbers, but then decided against it...too much work. Yours is very clever.
Wild guess: 47
Well, this is brilliant, Gerald. I appreciate all of the effort you've put into your collage. However, I'm not much good with numbers, so I'll leave the answer to others who are.
Glad I've been able to shatter that non-humorous stereotype for you.
I do not know what it means but that is one heck of a lot of numbers. It looks like many of them are dealing with money.
love the eclectic nature of the montage .. well done
I wouldn't have a clue...but what a great post!
bravo, une très bonne idée ce montage, j'aime beaucoup.
bravo, a very good idea this assembly, I like very much.
Great collage, Gerald. Love the way you've mixed such different sorts of photos too - especially the English breakfast! It's a very English mix - you couldn't be anywhere else. Very good.
I couldn't begin to guess. Look forward to hearing the answer tho.
Well I can't guess. I sure see a lot of numbers in your grouping today, though -:) Lovely collection today!
Nice collage, interesting to find the original one from each section...
Our portal seems to be working but seems to be gathering many traffic and often getting too busy page.
You found lots of numbers!
Nice collection of numbers. So you couldn't decide which to show?? ;-) Like me, I chose two.
hmmm are you a mathematician? hehe..
Wow! Numbers in numbers! Great collage, I wont participate as my head as spinning for counting my posts too..lol. Have a happy theme day!
Wow! You got alot of numbers. I think so far you get the reward for the most numbers I've seen.
I failed math, send me the book, I didn't fail reading! LOL
This is an awesome post and a great way induce interactive blogging!!
You certainly have found a few numbers in your neck of the woods! How about 103? -- that would be slightly less than once a week over two years.
Hmmm, I wonder if you're heading to a significant number either of blog posts (I thought it was your blog birthday recently, so maybe not), or a significant number of years (in which case happy birthday just in case!).
If I'm understanding the question you asked correctly, you're asking us to estimate how many photos on ALL the CDP blogs through the years? Maybe 10,000?
Great collage btw!
I love the collage of numbers! Very unique, each one of them!
The answer is, and always shall be "42", of course!
We are a world of numbers, number keepers and number seekers. What does it mean when people say 'I've got your number'? MB
Well, a wonderful collage of numbers. And the recurring theme I saw in it was the rising gas prices. On the other hand, if a math word problem is involved, the prize is safe for someone else to win!
Great patchwork of numbers..
but I never have been good with numbers...too lazy to add up!
I will look for the answer just for the fun of it!!
42!
A wonderful collage of very differnt number signs. I'm with Sally the answer to any question i don't have the answer to is 42. A very eclectic mix. Did you realise you had so many number related posts?
Interesting collage, I like them.
It adds up to 753 wonderful posts at Hyde DP! 2 years + 23 days = 753. From your collage I thought "crazy sale" and the pregnancy testing ones were interesting!
Very nice montage. I should have done like you!
I'm going with 25 just to be different. 25 of course being the number of pictures with numbers that you've posted.
so many numbers! :D
love them :)
happy theme day ;)
Excellent photo montage!
This is a good idea for Theme Day Gerald! I tried to add them up but I got very confused! I'll guess 123,456! It must be somewhere near!!
Oh Gerald, this is a clever post! And a very nicely done collage, too! I know how hard it is to have photos look as one would like when centered in a thumbnail in a mosaic. Well done. I especially like the watch face in the center. I couldn't make out numbers in about 5 of the squares and couldn't enlarge the image. Then I got to thinking and I'm going to answer that all this adds up to 7, my favorite number as it happens.
Happy theme day,
-Kim

Very interesting quiz and much nicer photos. I'm awaiting for the correct answer on Saturday!!!
Great mix of colors, subjects and, of course, numbers. Couldn't venture a guess....will have to wait and see.
Nice collage.
Great post - and hte idea of a kit that can test for twins at only£5 is excellent ;-)
very cool collage!! i thought about doing something similar, love how this turned out!
Great approach - I forget how much numbers, numerals, and quantities come up in my surroundings until a theme day comes along to remind me.
Does all the numbers add up to be "over 2-years of commitment to your Hyde Daily Photo blog"?
I had a tough moment with this month's theme, not knowing what to feature. Seeing your photos, I can see that numbers appear in many of our photos without us being aware of them! I gotta sharpen my awareness more! Thanks!
Clever post and collage. A splendid work.
I guess we are a bunch of chickens to not guess....I'll guess around 30? Love your choice today....very nice.....
Gerald, I believe it adds up to a whole lot of numbers!
Nice collage!
Great colored ... and numbered (of course) composition !
For the music on my DPB you can stop it with the integrated Deezer player in te right, down on the page.
The automatic play is nice for some who does'nt know how to run the music and if there is one ;-)
Well I guess you have enough numbers to produce a book. Are we expecting Hyde daily photos in print soon?
I'm no good at math so I'm not even trying. ,-)
But you do have the most number of 'numbers' of any participant I have seen!!!
Mari-Nanci
You know, I looked at lots and lots of these "number day" posts and I have to say I like yours the best! very cheery and well put together.
I really like this collage, great colors, and each photo is interesting in itself.
