Canal view looking North towards Ashton

This is another picture taken on my walk in early January along the river from Broomstairs Bridge.

At the top of the picture is where the path from the river to the canal comes out. Northwards the canal leads to the Portland Basin at Ashton under Lyne.

My walk along the Peak Forest Canal though was southerly past Toray Mill to the Manchester Road Bridge.

I've still got quite a few more photographs from the walk to share with you over the coming weeks.

Quite a very different view from that of the busy roads and bridges.

I like the water ways shots, look forward to seeing more.

Looks a little flooded there too.

That towpath looks a little wet, hope you had good shoes on.

It was actually a light scattering of snow, although it does look like water in the picture. I've still a few more photos from that walk to publish yet.

We don't have much snow yet here. Only rain and cold.
Love the picture!

It's great to see your environment through your eyes.

A very cool shot of the canal, love the touches of green. Love the reflections and the perspective.

Detroit not only goes below freezing, but well below 0 Fahrenheit. (COLD). It's been warmer than usual though this year.

I love water shots too! This is very lush looking for wintertime--very nice shot!

I hope you've got good boots and umbrella. It's so nice to walk under the rain.
