Rockets Galore
Between the 14th century Newton Hall and the weird chimney-pot at Dunkirk Farm, you'll find the technology of the future.
Starchaser began life as an experimental rocket test programme set up in 1992 by Steve Bennett from Dukinfield.
A few years ago the rocket was on show at Gee Cross Fete. Now they are busy recruiting astronauts.
This picture is by guest photographer Peter Parrott.

Interesting post, Gerald. I followed your links; it seems space travel is within the grasp of everyday folks (with a big bank account!)
cool rocket. I want one for my vehicle.
I like that shot :)
Congrats to the builder!
NASA has these great machines for moving their rockets at 1 mile an hour. What does the UK use? The back of a van! And it's not even a Transit.
I've seen this and others about for a while now Gerald.. the Rocket Man is again putting the area on the map for all the right reasons aswell.
Great links and I do like how you set it betwween the hall and farm... I never even thought of that.
I have yet to see Peter today but I know he will be honoured to have had the chance to display one of his pictures on HDP... Cheers
Have a great weekend what ever you do.
