Crook Street re-open to traffic

Following the completion of the new building on Reynold St, Crook St is now re-open to traffic.

We've been following the progress of events here over the past twelve months. This is probably the last in this series of posts:

This is a great series of shots-- very interesting to see the whole process. the final product is not so bad although the old building was nice looking.

What a wonderful set of pictures. P
This is what I've tried to do in Nyack--but maybe they demolish things at night or something. Probably not, but anyway, they clear the wreckage away pretty fast. I have missed major teardowns, even though I am always walking through town!

Once while staying in Letterkenny in Co. Donegal, I drove into town and thought--something is wrong -- sure enough a BEAUTIFUL old building that stood at the entry to the town center was now a cleanly swept vacant lot-- they took it down and carted it away at night because there was so much local outcry to save the building. People were so sad that day, it was like a death.
