New Camera

My new camera arrived yesterday afternoon. It was ordered online on Sunday. This of course was taken by my trusty spare camera, an Olympus FE-130.

It took me a good half hour to open the package and a while to work out how to charge the battery - I was looking for a lead but in fact two prongs fold out from the charger and fit into an adaptor plug.

I think it will take me at least a week to make head or tail out of the manual, so how soon you'll see the effects of my new acquistion on here remains to be seen. Meanwhile I do have several older photos on file so tomorrow it will be back to pictures of Hyde proper.

Congratulations Gerald!

I've had my Lumix FZ7 for months now and still can't figure it out...

I'm looking forward to your photos, to see how it could/should be done!

Looks impressive, Gerald! You'll probably need to go to university to learn how to read the manual!

By the look of the Robin shot Gerald, it's not a bad shot for the foist one and where it was taken... get a bit of practise and you will be well away..
Now then when I pointed out to my Jane that your wife bought you that... she just looked at me and said "SO". Didn't take the hint at all.. Give me a shout if you want to go up to the top of the low to try it out...

The camera looks great. Good luck. You'll handle it soon, don't worry.

I hope you have some highlighter pens for the manual :)

so nice when it's so complicated that sometimes you need another manual to read the manual ... hahaha ... good luck

I had a look at that camera a couple of months ago, as a replacement for my trusty Canon A620, as I'm looking for something with a better zoom. 18x is brilliant, but it is a bit big to lug about. I'm also considering the TZ3, which has a 10x lens.

You got a really neat camera there Gerald. I hope you learn how to use it soon as I am anxious to see at least one new macro. They are fantastic cameras.

Congratulations, it looks very good. I saw on the internet that this camera have a lcd viewfinder. And a strong zoom and wide angle etc. Wow.

Hi! I bought the Lumix DMC-FZ18k a couple of weeks ago. We have loved the zoom (18!!) but are frustrated because we take A LOT of blurry pictures. Are you experiencing this?

So, how's it going with the new camera? I've had an FZ7 for about a year now. A few things disappoint, but overall, I like it. The zoom is mind-boggling when you really stop to think about it.

Okay, I'm off to see whether you posted your horse photo. Thanks for your visits and comments over at Villigen.

Oooh! It's a beauty. I love Panasonic products, especially their televisions have the best sound.
