Down under Brookfold Lane Bridge

I recently posted the view of this bridge looking up Brookfold Lane and later, from the other side, a detail of the iron parapet.

Here now is a fuller view looking down.

I'm surprised at just how nice the view is looking back toward Mottram Road. The farm seems to have had some work done in the last year or so.

I love this photo. I think it's the color and composition. Very nicely done.

I looked at this photo and the other pic looking the other way, This bridge has been widened, I presume there are raillines on the bridge, and they must have needed more tracks, any indication when this was done?

There used to be rail-lines here but not for many years. It is now a footpath - to the East it is now blocked off as that is where the line joins the main railway which is still in use - to the West there are remnants of an old turntable and further on the disused line is part of a long-distance path across the country.

I really like the rustic look of this pic. Thanks for sharing!
