Hand-bell ringers
One of the joys of the Heritage Open Day last year at St Georges were the handbell ringers, Tin'stle Bells.
They were there again this year and played an excellent selection of pieces.

My brother-in-law plays hand bells in church and my sister posted a photo on this subject a while back ... I can enjoy the music but don't have the talent to make this music.
Gerald, my brother amazes me how he remembers the photos i post...and the ones other post. I love handbells...the group our brother-in-law places with really works hard at their gift. Your photo shows some real joy in the choir.
I enjoy such music but I can't play anything, no talent like Denton.
Hi Gerald , I do not know] really what those days mean but I like the information and the photography,
BTW I will show soon on my blog a link (or map) of the area "the GOOI" from where I most of my photograpy is made in Holland.
In short Dutch: "het Gooi" is a couple of small villages together, in totall they are named English:"The Gooi" I'll keep you informed so follow my blog.:)
It's taken me a while to get here -- haven't had much free time lately. I love the motion in this shot and wish I'd been there to hear the performance!
Thanks for your visit to my blog, too.

I think anyone who can play hand bells is genius! They make such beautiful music :)
i love the sounds of handbells. a friend had a special item on it for her wedding, it was so beautiful.
we also have a 'handbell choir' in our church, but the handbells they use are not like these ones in the picture. i should take a photo of it one of these days!
That's a nice photo. I love action shots, although they are sometimes hard to get just right! I almost feel like I can hear the bells in the distance. I remember playing them in the school choir when I was a child.
