The Edge of Hyde

Here is the Western edge of Werneth Low ["Low" is an Old English word meaning "hill"].

Poking into view is the steeple of Hyde Chapel.

You can tell from the trees which way the wind blows.

Today is theme day for members of City Daily Photoblogs and this month the theme is Edges. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

Next week Hyde DP will be five years old!

English can be confusing. Low means a hill and downs are uplands.

I wonder what lies just beyond that EDGE? Nice snap for theme day, Mr. Hyde, Sir!

The spire itself has some interesting edges. Obviously you do not live on the edge; your place is quite lovely

Great image of the chapel. I like the background ... green England.
