Behind Clarendon Viaduct

Compare this view of the Clarendon Viaduct with the one I posted in December 2009.

It is still a derelict site with no public access and I imagine few of the people driving across it even realise they are on a viaduct as this view can only be seen by leaning over the wall.

This viaduct was erected in 1904.

Very interesting, Gerald. Are there plans to restore the site? With over 100 years of traffic having crossed it, no doubt that bridge could tell some tales.

With land being as precious as it is these days, it's a bit surprising to see this piece unused.

we have a viaduct, half of it is done up in up market restaurants, the other half is almost like yours.

There is at least one old railway one in Leeds now disused, cannot figure out to get on it though. If I travel by bus, like this last week, I try to ride upstairs, sometimes see things that I never knew were there.
