The Viaduct on Clarendon Street was erected in 1904 bridging the valley of Godley Brook.
Until recently it wasn't possible to lean over the edge of the parapet to view these arches. The ground was filled with industrial machinery and fenced off, but has now been cleared.
From the other side of the road you can look over on to factory roofs.
A faded stone on the side of the viaduct commemorates its construction - view it on Hyde DP Xtra.

Wow!!
Unique shot :-)
My word, you could get some great shots down there Gerald.
That's an interesting old viaduct. It will look great when everything is cleaned up in front of the arches.
Beautiful viaduct, great shot dear Gerald!I loved this angle,
Léia
I'd much rather have this view than looking at factories.
