Buttercup Meadow

Remember my shadow shot post of Rosemary Drive?

Turn around and over the fence is a meadow full of buttercups.

The buildings in the background are part of the now abandoned Hyde campus of Tameside College.

All Ranunculus species are poisonous when eaten fresh by cattle, horses, and other livestock, but their acrid taste and the blistering of the mouth caused by their poison means they are usually left uneaten.
Hence your buttercup meadow. It's a poisonous brew.

Barbed wire in England strikes me rather like a cathedral on the plains of Kansas.
