Q is for Quandry
Last Saturday we found ourselves in a Quandry when we came out of the car park entrance to the Clarendon Mall intending to go through the loading bay area to Clarendon Place.
We discovered that a litter bin had recently appeared next to the stairwell entrance to the multi-storey car park. It blocks access to the kerb leading round the side of the car park. Vehicular access between the ground level car park adjacent to the Mall and the loading area/taxi pick-up point is blocked by a steel fence. Whilst wheelchair access from Clarendon Place wasn't ideal, involving a right angle turn onto the dropped kerb and off again by the stairwell exit, it is now impossible.
I had a Quiet word with the Markets Manager who eQuipped me with the appropriate contact at the council. I have sent a Query Questioning the positioning of the bin. Will they Quibble or act Quickly?
I await a reply

If it has anything to do with a government agency I would assume nothing will happen Quickly!!

Good luck! Nice that you can try to change thing quietly.
Good luck w that. Seems that how QUICKLY it's resolved depends less on the merits, and more on power dynamics.

It's an odd place to put that bin on the curve. Good luck!

I expect it was just thoughtlessness and they'll move it! I hope so.
On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)
An example of not very joined up thinking from Tameside.
I hope you get it moved asap Gerald - good luck in your Quest.
Luckily you don't live here as it would take months to receive a reply, if ever.
Good luck I do wish and a wonderful Wednesday as well.

You sound quite understanding and patient, a very nice trait. Whoever did that is quite the opposite! I do hope they correct their quintessential blunder very quickly.
LOl, may be you should kick it away.
It is always worth a try...
Well done!
Mine is here
Happy Sensational Wednesday!

I want to thank you for taking action about the litter bin. I am confined to a wheelchair and must tell you that I often have trouble getting around because of the thoughtless actions of others. Like you I write letters about these situations when I come across them. So once again THANK YOU for taking action.
How inconvenient it is to place the bin there and block the curve. I hope they respond to your query soon.
Good luck with your query! You have at least used several quintessential Q-words!
Best wishes,
Anna

Good luck with your questioning -
Quietly Quenching a Quandry is much better the Quarreling. Very nice.
