Edge of a Rainbow
Spring is coming in like a lion this year with a lot of wet weather.
Late yesterday afternoon dark clouds hovered over Werneth Low and heavy rain arrived.
Shortly afterwards a rainbow appeared. Because of the angle of roofs and windows that don't open wide, I wasn't able to capture the full semi-circle. I was however able to catch the edge of it on the left horizon in this shot looking towards the Hare and Hounds on the right horizon.
About ten minutes after I took this photograph, the skies darkened, the rainbow disappeared and the rain returned.

Half a rainbow is better than no rainbow at all :) I like the flame of tree in the foreground.
Great shot! And I like the flame of the tree too. Wonderful.
No doubt the rainbow was welcome while it lasted.
We went two better yesterday afternoon in Heywood - hailstones and thunder ...
Well, you can't have everything! Lucky you to get the rainbow...but then the rain. But think how wonderful the spring flowers and buds will be because of the rain. The "burning bush" in the foreground adds lots of colour, too.
What a pretty shot!
Nice shot Gerald.

I hope the rain is not coming here! :)
Today we had such a beautiful sun!
