New Homes on Lilly Street

Across the Diamond Row Open Space, formerly a reservoir now covered, are some new apartments on Lilly Street.

They look to be on stilts but this is because the ground floor is a car park.

You can see the plot on which they are built in this photograph from 2007.

Will also save them if it floods. I believe the Thames Barrier gates may not be sufficient in the future.

Very pretty building, but scary if you come from earthquake country!
