Collecting the Mail
There is a double pillar box on the Market Place outside the Post Office.
At the appointed collection time, a man drives up in a Royal Mail van to empty it and take the mail round the corner to the sorting office on Hamnett Street.

The van looks as if it's been delivering to some of the local farms..... I had to tow one off Rabbit Lane a few years ago... it was slipping on some black ice... The low gear box and of course 4x4of the land rover came in useful then.
I have never drive one like this!

Pat and Jess would look ok in this small van. I was a postman for a time, but drove the more conventional style van.
They do always seem to collect on time. The deliveries on the other hand...
