The playing fields of Dowson Primary School stretch towards Gower Hey Woods and the footpath between the two is a nature trail.
Why there is an amount of litter in one corner, I cannot say.

Hello Mum and Dad! I can remember this land way before it was a school, it was a football pitch, where we used to go and watch the local teams at the weekend. My mum and dad moved here just before the infant school was built and personally I think the nursery school is a huge blot on the landscape!!!
