Latter-Day Saints at Kingston

On Manchester Road, Kingston, as the road levels out near Broomstairs Bridge, stands the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.

In the background are 19th century houses in Kingston Grove. The M67 motorway lies behind in an area where in the 1920s you'd have found Lover's Alley.

It seems like a beautiful temple... Or house?
God bless you!

Looks very much like their temple here in town.

Despite the difference in color and materials, this looks amazingly like those here. I guess their architecture's consistent no matter what country they're in.

That design style must be popular as it is used over here for different denominations including the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Is it 50s or 60s architecture?
It's the sort of think I would have hated 10 years ago - but I love it now.

This is a church it is there regular meeting house for worship services on Sundays and activities of different sorts during the week.

Latter day saints do have Temples, but this is not one of them. In the UK there are 2 Temples. One in Chorley and one down in Surrey.

I do quite like the look of this, it looks nice and clean and quite simple really. Nice photo.
