The Rising Moon Again

Last month I showed you a glimpse of the Rising Moon.

Here now is a fuller view of the front of the pub.

As you know Gerald I know this well... and have lived near by for over 30 years now.. I must drive past it a few times a week, and when I could I have walked by this on my way up Matley Lane many many times... but today I have learned something new... I have never noticed the 'Public Footpath' sign of the stone style before.. I must go and look at it.

I would say that it is still worthy of a visit.

Looks like a great place to stop for a few ales.

Great pub, Gerald! Thanks for sharing! Thanks for your visit and comments I believe, however, that both Olafs were Norwegian. Olaf Tryggvason was born on an islet in Fjærlandsvatnet. He escaped from Norway with his mother to her brother and was captured by Estonian pirates and enslaved. Later he got back to his motherland Norway where he became King of Norway.

I'm guessing they've widened that road a few times judging by how close it comes to the building. Great photo!

I guess the photo should be known as the full moon from now on!

Beautiful photo Gerald. My brother told me the other day that approx 29 pubs are closing down per month. I hope this never happens to Rising Moon.
