Enfield Court

If you leave the TransPennine Trail near the entrance to Gower Hey Wood but in the opposite direction, you come to a grassy triangular area leading to Dowson Road.

It was back in October 2006 that I reported on the demolition of the car showrooms that were on the site of Cockshoots Garage.

In its place has been built a block of retirement apartments known as Enfield Court after Henry Enfield Dowson.

Looks like a nice place.
It reminds me of a similar place in Burnley whose picture I took last year!

I don't know...seems they are away and isolated from other folks. Nice shot, though!

I look forward to seeing some leaves on those trees!

A nice place for retirement, with a proper field outside that ought to give a pleasant view.

Ps I would recommend that you follow the links that are included in the post

RuneE is right as about checking out those links. You get a very rounded overall image. Retirement homes seem to be on the increase, especially here. It definitely looks better than most.

These are nice and I think this is the rear view, they are not isolated at all.... and not far from the town centre.
