Sky Watch Friday: Aldi

Today's photograph is a contribution to Skywatch Friday.

It isn't a recent photograph but the sky reflects the current mood.

Aldi is one of the smaller supermarkets and not one I've visited very often. They moved last year from a store near B&Q less than a mile up the road to this site off Manchester Road.

On the left hand side is the railway and steps to the Manchester-bound platform of Hyde Central Station.

To the right is Over Yonder.

Today we had the same kind of weather. Windy, cold and rainy.

Yes, feeling a little gray here today, too. :) Looking forward to spring, but I'm afraid we have a ways to go yet... happy weekend!

I know my mother (who lives in England) shops at Aldi every now and then as well, great prices on canned goods she says?

I hope the sun shines soon, Gerald. I know I could use a little sunshine too.

Been much the same here but at least the weather has landed some of the timber that fell off a boat in the channel. Nice piccie as usual when I get my new camera I will flood the internet with views of Margate. Don

Surprisingly we have had a beautiful, but somewhat windy day. You'll see some of it at my place.

We had the rain to go with the grey sky today. An Aldi has opened near me but I haven't ventured in yet.

Yep - that mood is hanging around over here, too..

Much the same sky here as well. At least we have our blogs to amuse until the blue skies return.

I'm sorry your weather was poor, you have an interesting shot anyway. Hopefully the weather will improve soon.

There's an Aldi just down the road from here and yes the sky's the same colour, in fact I think it's even greyer here. Some things are universal..

We have no Aldi, but that sky looks familiar. Winter in a grey sky

Hi
Just got back from here Gerald... I get a few bits and bobs from here but could not do my weekly shop there.
This area as certainly changed a lot and is still doing so with the demolition of Auto-Masters.

Looks cold! I wish I could invite all you shivering northerners down here right now!

I'm quite a fan of Aldi, especially for tins, jars, deli stuff, and biscuits are brilliant.

In Brazil it`s raining a lot too!

Looks like a mean storm brewing!

Yes, a moody sky, but at least it's not raining.

I don't recall ever going into an Aldi in all the years I lived in the UK. Lidl I did a few times. Similar thing I would imagine.

Interesting. We see Aldi store when we go to Buffalo, New York - had no idea that they're on your side of Atlantic as well.
