Four from One for Boxing Day

On my Boxing Day 2006 post I explained how I could get three separate posts from a single photograph.

So this year I'm showing you how to get four from one.

On 10th Nov 2008 I cropped it and posted the Alternative Route sign.

On 26th Nov 2008 I highlighted the mini-roundabout.

Finally on 14th Dec 2008 I gave you Rosemount church.

Today I bring you the full picture.

Does anyone else regularly get several different posts out of the same photograph or am I the only skintflint?

Final reminder: Voting for Hyde Photo of the Year closes at noon GMT tomorrow. Please visit Best of Hyde Daily 2008 before it is too late.

Conserve pixels! Great use of one photo. I don't remember cropping one picture for more than one post, but I have used one scene for different posts by zooming in on various parts (multiple photos) of the scene.

Very clever, This one is like seeing the puzzle after it's put together.

Very clever. You must have been an academic in a previous life that simply repackages an article for different publications to get the most value out of one research project:)

i suppose the photo has to be super clear (mine aren't always)

I am glad I didn't miss this one! It's a great picture and the others are also good. I didn't see them for I was away in Egypt. The roundabout is very handy for big vehicles. The problem is here that they have too little space to turn.
Have a great weekend Gerald!

Great technique Gerald. I am reading "Welcome to Oz" by Vincent Versace and he calls this 'image harvesting'.

I have done this but not on the blog to this point.

I have never done it, but I think it might be fun to try!

Excellent visual perception to be able to see 4 different scenes in one photograph and to be able to use them in 4 blogs. Was this rre-planned or was it just one of those serendipity things?

Great photo for sure, Is that a roundabout? We are getting a lot of roundabouts here, but there all defined more with statues.

I think you know I have this idea down to a fine art with the limitations of Ramsey. I like Dan' Image harvesting. Body parts, image parts interesting.
