There are autumn leaves everywhere and not least on this footpath leading from Mottram Road down into Godley Vale.

a beautiful autumn shot
I regularly chat to the guys who have to sweep up these leaves. A thankless task at the moment.
I wonder how they sweep up the leaves. This task has become increasingly noisy and environmentally unfriendly in Sweden over the recent years. Portable fans propelled by noisy engines are being carried around and the idea is to have the leaves blown into piles. November isn't exactly a dry month here (either) and when the leaves get more or less glued to the ground by moist this whole exercise doesn't seem to work very well at all. Except for the production of noise and exhaust fumes.
The trees tinged with rust and gold and fallen leaves spell Autumn!
Still my favourite season to photograph, here's why. The natural colours.
