Miniature Castle

This Miniature Castle, seen from across the fields, is really just part of a farmhouse.

Originally eighteen century, but with later additions, it is a Grade II Listed building.

There is a photograph of the front, dated 2000, on Old Hyde where it is erroneously said to be off Matley Lane. It is actually about a mile or so away from there.

I wonder if this could be classed as a 'folly' Gerald? Have you seen the folly off Mottram Road Hyde? Let me know if you need a lift getting there.
