Winter Tree by sign for M60

This is another photograph from my January walk along the Peak Forest Canal towpath.

It probably took me around 45 minutes to walk from the motorway bridge over the river Tame, up the path to the canal and then down to here.

The traffic on the M67 motorway would have taken around 10 seconds.

I like the outer ring road sign and its legs and how they look with the railings in the foreground. I erased my last comment due to mistakes--I am very sick today and my head is feverish. Can't thimk straight!

I did that walk way back in the late 1960's, all the way to the aqueduct over the Goyt near Marple.
