Just like last year we hung the majority of the Christmas cards we received on the wall.
At one time we displayed about five strings of cards, but the number received gets less each year.
We've had a some late arrivals and will probably get a few New Year cards in the next few days.

I posted our cards on the kitchen door this year, but unfortunately I never finished addressing mine to send.
Great idea! Going to vote the picture of the year!
Wish you a happy, healthy and peaceful 2008!

Nice idea, Gerald. For the nine years that I owned my store, I would put the cards we received on strings mounted on the wall behind the checkout desk.
Leave the country,as I did some years ago, and you find that the number goes down rapidly (even when you send cards yourself). Out of the country is out of mind. Add that to age and you get an almost empty wall.
I find that our amount of cards stay about the same amount each year. People pass on, but then new people arrive in ones life. People may forget one year, but remember the next & vice versa.
The general idea of Christmas wanes a bit more with me each year. I must be getting old!
