Domestic Decorations
This house gets well decorated for Christmas every year. These on the garage roof are only a part of what is here. There are more on the side and front of the house as well as in the garden.
I've no idea whether or not these lights are being entered in the Christmas Lights Competition being sponsered by the local council. That is the same local council which is also planning to dim streets lights in order to save money and reduce the borough's carbon footprint.
And before you ask, no I won't be posting a picture of the display actually lit up. It is too darn cold to go out in the dark!

I hope that your cold gets better -so don't go out at night!!
Thanks for the shout Gerald. This photo shows at the extremes people will go to. I am not against Christmas lights being put on peoples houses, but there is line between the limit of decorations and taste.
Merry Christmas everyone and have a very happy new year!
Oh I think these look rather lovely myself.
I love Christmas decorations, but I feel like a grinch sometimes if I ever compare my 2 little strands of lights to the amazing displays some people have around town. In the last few years the Walmart has been selling these HUGE inflatable Christmas decorations and they seem to have taken over the town!!
I like this display that you have shared.
Well it looks like that photo has made it on to the Tameside Council Christmas Lights Competition Gerald! Have a look here
