I have aways liked the old red ones better, but of course thats just for the looks.
I bet phone boxes like these will be something rare in a few years. I can't see them being able to pay for their up keep with all the mobile phone use now.

I like that, "Coins and Cards". Unfortunately, with the cell phone usage, these kiosks may be declining. We find it difficult to find payphones here these days.

That reminds me of a pay phone experience my wife and I had in Spain. Way back when the pay phones had a sloping tray for coins. I found myself talking faster and faster as each coin dropped.

Still looking fine and in working order. In Finland and France they've quite disappeared, otherwise they are in very poor condition.

Oh how I miss the old red ones. Still in The Cotswolds (where I am every summer)...there are some still some old ones in picture postcard village settings. Probably just for the tourists. Greetings from Toruń DP! Come and visit us sometime!

Others have said it, but I'll add my 2 cents. . . .I'm amazed that there are any pay phones around given the popularity of cellular phones. Of course, I will say that when we were in Europe, we didn't have the benefit of being able to use our cellular phones (Services don't match.), so had we needed to call the US, we would have had to use a pay phone.

This would make an interesting theme before they disappear. Same story in Sweden, their numbers are rapidly declining.
