"Bulls Eyes" (not Bottle) Window
I recently noticed this window on a house in Reynold Street.
I believed this type of window was called a "Bottle Window". My own research into it drew only blanks, but the DP family came up trumps and correctly identified it as a "Bulls Eyes" Window.

The name, bottle windows, looks like it is very appropriate for it. Love the colour against the bricks.
I'd love to find out where they got glass like that. It would be a big hit here.

The person who thought of those type of windows is really creative.
I've seen these types of windows before. I always thought they were known as 'bulls eyes'.
Absolutely fascinating photograph, the combination of colours and textures is outstanding...
Gail's Man, is right on target (pardon the pun) Most Glaziers around these parts can get these in, I have fitted many of these in my time.
I've seen these with coloured glass as well and they are stunning.
Hi Hyde,
I like your photo's and this windows, the name of it also, they tell something about the house , they are like eyes....
Thanks for telling me that it is perhaps not 'a good idea' to change my profile describing...I was not aware of that "my changing my profile describing" could give "a problem" I changed my profile-discribing because I though that might be better....But when it is ,not handy' I might stick to the same title and profile describing. I'm sorry.

I had a quick peek at your site when I was at work earlier on - something I'm not supposed to do - and thought they were known as bull eyes. I believe you have to be careful because if you get really hot sun on them the concentration of the rays can set your carpet on fire!
This is different. I've never seen windows like those.
Very creative window.
This is an interesting window for sure! I have not seen anything like that around here - yet;)
How interesting! I didn't know of the terminology either.
How unusual! I've never seen this type of window before. The shapes of the panes really make this an outstanding photo.
It never fails. I learn something new every day on CDP. :-D
I've never seen a window like this. It must be even more stunning in coloured glass.
wow! awesome window! what's the purpose though?
