Nativity Scene at Booth's Well

Back in July, Booth's Well was decorated for the Well Dressing.

Now it is host to a Nativity Scene.

This is so interesting. I'll ask the same question, are they real wells?
Christine's crib is more colorful.

Booth's Well is indeed a real well. My page http://www.geraldengland.co.uk/gx/well2006.htm on the 2006 well-dressing ceremony has a link to a local history site with information on the history of the wells in Hyde and also a link to a site covering well-dressing in detail.

Booth's Well isn't a functioning well like the famous one in Buxton.
