Rumble-strips like this at the end of suburban estate roads are supposed to be a traffic-calming measure.
At least it is better than leaving
potholes in the road.

Better than our artificial bumps in the road. I mean, they are huge not just tiny cute bricks like these, laid there on purpose to make cars stop. You can leave your chasis in one of those.
